Welcome to Bush-Field Estates—the pinnacle of Pinot Noir!
Pinot needs constant care and attention. You know? And, in fact, it can only grow in these really specific, little tucked-away corners of the world. And only the most patient and nurturing of growers can do it, really. Only somebody who really takes the time to understand pinot's potential can then coax it into its fullest expression.

Above the cloudline, Bush-Field Estates is located at the top edge of the true Valley of the Moon above Jack London State Park in Sonoma County, California. Our vineyards are in the convergence of three ancient and prominent mountain peaks: Mount Diablo, Mount Tamalpais, and Mount Saint Helena. Our microcosmic climate and our blend of native plants and trees give the soil the aromas and flavors in our Pinot Noir Wine.
Bush-Field specializes in Pinot Noir. Our first vineyard was planted in 1999. Today, we have established five acres of estate-grown pinot noir vines. “Why Pinot?” you might ask. Our proprietor, Alan Benfield Bush says: “Pinot is the most lovely of the red wines. Such finesse! It is light and beautiful–yet still strong and compelling.”
At 2350 feet, we are the highest producing Pinot Noir vineyards in Sonoma County. We are considered part of the Sonoma Valley appellation yet we are approximately 1900 feet away from–and above–the Sonoma Mountain appellation. We use the descriptor Sonoma Mountain Top™ for that unique distinction.
Come. Taste for yourself our unique wines from this little piece of paradise on Sonoma Mountain Top!
